Green Diary is the new name for Tory Boy News.

Green Diary is a centre right view of all things political by Stewart Green. It aims to present the best of the news from the world of politics in an informative and thought provoking format.

Development Timeline:

This project was originally started accidentally when I came across the world of podcasting in July 2006. Soon enough, the name ‘Tory Boy News’ was set and a website launched.

In January of 2008, Tory Boy News launched it’s first full website, then a fairly basic version compared to that which you see today!

Feburary 2008 saw the launching of the forum after several failed attempts. With various other forums that never really took off for various reasons, it was decided to bring the forum under the banner of TBN.

March 2008 brought about a spring clean at TBN with a new graphical interface added to the website and the blog was launched. This has proved to be a big success, especially on election nights with thousands of readers ‘tuning in’ to watch the live results service and take part in the live chat room blog.

May 2008 was a milestone for TBN as we hit 30,000 visitors in a single month. This month also saw a marathon three day rolling coverage of the local and London elections.

September 2008: Tory Boy News became Green Diary after a makeover and a relaunch of the website with a ‘uniform’ appearance in all sections of the website.

December 2008: The podcast show and the forum are both shut down in order to focus on the blog alone. The main website pages are removed and incorporated into the blog.

The Future: who knows? The Internet is such a dynamic sphere, websites such as this need to adapt to changing uses and attitudes. We have seen, how in just two years we have gone from an amateur podcast with only tens of listeners, to a thriving blog centred website with much more than just a podcast show.

About the Stewart:
Green Diary (formally Tory Boy News) was started by Stewart Green in July 2007. It originally started as a weekly podcast show but has since developed further. Stewart is a 20 year old Conservative Party member from Edmonton, London but now living in Glasgow as a student at the University of Glasgow.

Stuart holds strong opinions on many topics and is never afraid to share them. He is also keen to get people discussing the news and interested in politics.
